The SS Great Britain - Bristol
The SS Great Britain - Bristol
£80.00
This wonderful passenger steam ship was launched in 1843 and was, like the Clifton Suspension Bridge, designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel. For a decade after its launch, at 98 metres, it was the longest vessel afloat anywhere in the word. It certainly makes a lovely subject for a painting now and with its tall masts it must have made a truly majestic sight when under full sail taking on the Atlantic on its way to New York.
