This is another painting I made on Polzeath beach, setting up my fisherman’s shelter and easel on the sand. The view is to the south-west with Stepper Point in the distance. I focused on the surfers walking their brightly coloured boards down to the waves which seemed miles away and added the gulls which obligingly stood quite still for minutes at a time.
