This must be one of the most beautiful views in the South Hams. The River Avon takes a big long S shaped curve at Bantham, just before it reaches the sea, and from high up on the road at the village it is possible to see right over the dunes to Burgh Island and Bigbury with the cliffs far off in the distance. I will leave it to you to judge whether I have done the view justice.
