I painted this from Fishing Cove Field at Daymer Bay in early October and was stuck by how much the light had changed since the summer. The sun was far lower in the sky and further south which gave a real glitter to the sea and the rooves across in Padstow. I spent much of the day with my squinting eyes almost shut but it was worth the effort.
