I painted this picture from the War Memorial just to the north of Padstow and the view is due south with the old railway bridge used by the Camel Trail just visible in the middle distance.  As always the light changed almost every time I looked up and it was a struggle not to be overwhelmed by it all, but in the end I was very pleased with the shadow patterns on the sandbank and the feeling of light and movement in the breezy sky.
